The capacity to drill, hone and turn components up to 3 metres in length has assisted us in expanding our services to this sector.
Materials include Inconel, Hastelloy and a wide range of stainless steels. Components machined include housings, flo-tubes, rotors and other components assisting oil production.
In terms of deep hole boring, it’s often the case that the tougher the material, the easier it cuts so yes, we have, and are able to machine all Inconel grades and other alloys like Monel, MP35 and Hastelloy etc.
The majority of the work we complete for oil and gas is tubular based and usually, quite thin wall. Casings, Housings, Enclosures are regular products alongside a variety of other exploration and drilling components.
The main formal approvals required for Oil & Gas tend to relate to Thread machining. We don’t have any formal oil and gas approvals, but we do have a wide variety of customer approvals within the industry.
