We are committed to:
1: Educate and encourage our employees to realise and understand their responsibilities with regard to conservation.
2: Exceed the requirements of all relevant government regulations at our site.
3: Minimise our energy consumption.
4: Recycle waste material from production into new production or transfer it to a recycling company to dispose of in a controlled manner waste materials that cannot be recycled.
Adherence to this policy will minimise the impact of our activities on the environment.
However, this policy does not reflect the level of commitment the business has made to this policy and the Environmental impacts it refers to.
These include the installation of a 50KW Solar generation system, LED lighting was installed throughout in 2014, and this has recently been upgraded to the latest energy saving technology.
In addition, we have installed Voltage Optimisation equipment to the key, high demand machinery and most recently, we added Power Factor Correction technology which saved over 5 tonnes of Co2 in the first year of use – that’s the weight of an Orca whale!
We also refurbish and rebuild much of our machinery to ensure we reuse, recycle and re-purpose as much as we can within the business.
Our commitment is not about paper policies, it’s the practical application of green technology and engineers’ insight to ensure we do as much as we can to protect our planet and our future generations.
